  • Individualized programs of 3 – 6+ years allow students to incorporate the training into their already rich and full lives.
  • Training can be a combination of intensives in NM and workshops in the student’s home areas, enabling those not living in NM to study easily and effectively.
  • The Living Arts Curriculum applies Alexander’s principles to contemporary life, making the Work easily applicable to daily and professional activities.

  • Teaching styles range from classical to contemporary, so that students gain maximum flexibility in their teaching skills.
  • Students become equally skilled in the pedagogy of individual and group teaching, helping ensure a successful career as an Alexander Teacher.
  • Students gain the skills and practice needed for teaching successful Introductory Workshops, which is essential to creating a full and varied career.
  • Students gather actual teaching experience in group and individual situations throughout the training, thus enabling them to graduate with practical experience.
  • Students are introduced to allied movement and body studies to help broaden their awareness and understanding.

  • First year students become certified as LIVING IN A BODY™ Level I Instructors, allowing them to begin to incorporate body mapping tools into their other fields of expertise.
  • Students gain the necessary kinesthetic, theoretical, philosophical, and pedagogical understanding to fully embody Alexander’s principles in their lives, and to impart that life experience to others.
