Group Classes

Robyn Avalon of the Alexander Alliance SW
teaching an Alexander Technique Lesson
The Alexander Alliance Southwest offers a number of afternoon and evening classes that allow participants to explore the Alexander technique with a flexible and less intense time commitment. They are a useful, fun, and cost-effective way for you to explore the Alexander Technique, to receive some individual attention or to explore what an Alexander Teacher Training group might feel like, in its introductory stages.
The classes are held in a small, informal group setting, lasting 4 – 6 weeks and including one 30 minute private lesson for each student. Group Classes introduce participants to the basic principles of Alexander’s Work, cover basic body mapping, and include individual hands-on attention in activity work – allowing the students to experience new, easier ways of doing familiar daily/professional activities.
Course content is adapted to fit the individual student’s needs and interests.
