There are various possible levels of study available during the weekdays, depending on each individual's experience with Alexander Work.
Personal Study
This is for anyone interested in a comprehensive introduction to Alexander Work, or continued personal study. The focus will be on the Work as inspired by Marjorie Barstow, the first person that Alexander trained to be a teacher. There will be morning classes with the senior teachers, afternoon application classes, special interest classes throughout the week, large group events in evenings, and opportunities for private lessons with advanced students or teachers.
Teacher Training
This is for current Alexander teachers-in-training from any school, worldwide. This group has morning training classes, afternoon application classes, special interest classes, and large group events in evenings. Advanced students may offer supervised lessons.
Post - Graduate Study
This is a post-graduate course for both new and established Alexander teachers. There will be morning graduate level classes, afternoon application classes, the opportunity to either teach or participate in special interest classes, and large group events in the evenings. This course is a wonderful addition for those who have had more classical training and who would like to develop skills for teaching in groups and in activities.
Teaching Apprentices
Teaching Apprenticeships are available for those who are at least 3 years post-graduate, and who would like to work closely with the senior teachers throughout the week. These positions will cover room/board/tuition but not transportation. There are limited apprenticeships, so please apply early by emailing us at office@alexandersw.com.
Adjunct Teachers
Qualified professionals in related movement or hands-on studies are welcome to attend the course. There may be the opportunity to share some of their own expertise with the group. Please contact the office directly (office@alexandersw.com) if you are interested in exploring this possibility.
