Study Options

Full-time Study

This option is very suitable for commuters as well as students living in the area. This three year program consists of six 5-10 day Training Events in Coyote and Santa Fe, New Mexico. For academicians, 3 of the Events occur in the summer, with remaining ones scheduled in the Fall, just after New Year's, and at Spring Break. Full time status requires attendance at 4 of the 6 Events each year. The exact dates are created each year to accommodate trainee's schedules as much as possible. If possible, it is also recommended that students attend one other training event each year at either another Alexander Alliance School (no additional tuition) or another Alexander Technique Training program.

Part-time Study

Part time study is very suitable for commuters and locals who cannot commit to the full Event schedule, but would like to incorporate the training into their lives in a slower but regular way. Part time status requires either full attendance at 3 out of 6 Events, or half time attendance at all 6 Events. All schedules must be submitted in writing and approved by AASW Director.

Self-Designed Study

Most suitable for those with very challenging schedules, Trainees may design a program which fits their needs - incorporating the New Mexico Events with either participation in other Alliance schools worldwide, and/or organizing workshops and individual lessons in their home area, at which they can apprentice. Self-Designed programs may extend over time as needed to complete the requirements.
